AYO Recognizes Volunteers During National Volunteer Recognition Month

April 17, 2014

If Abe Lincoln or George Washington got into a fight, who would win (pretty much a 50/50 split among the group with a slight advantage given to Abe for undetermined reasons)?  What percentage of a teen’s waking hours are spent without companionship or supervision (40%)?  These and the answers to other questions made for some laughter and hilarity at this year’s volunteer recognition event attended by 25 folks representing tutors, admin volunteers, mentors and mentees.  Hosted at Baker Street Pub & Grill, the event provided AYO with an opportunity to thank the volunteers who help AYO address its challenges and accomplish its goals.  Thank you to all the folks who are a part of AYO’s effort to foster positive transformation in Aurora youth!
