Exploring the Denver Museum of Nature & Science

March 15, 2014

Dinosaurs, mummies and space, oh my!  Twenty-two intrepid mentors, mentees and families from Aurora Youth Options explored the Denver Museum of Nature & Science on March 15 thanks to the efforts of Deric Pinales, long-time mentor and AYO volunteer, who organized free access to the museum for interested matches and their families.  In small and large groups, those present followed the paleontological flow of time through Prehistoric Journey, checked out their health, some science experiments and “mind control” (using theta waves) in Expedition Health and shivered over the Egyptian mummies while marveling at the Egyptian ways of dealing with death.  Going to the museum is always fun and this adventure showcased just how exciting such a jaunt can be, especially with old and new friends!  Thanks, Deric, for organizing this event for Aurora Youth Options!
